our kids are growing way too fast! i had a mommy meltdown this week when gretta put on one of daniel’s old hoodies - and it fit . . . it feels like someone has hit the fast-forward button and life is screaming past me.
doesn’t gretta look like a little angel? yeah, about that . . .

and don’t they look like the most loving siblings alive???

it lasted for all of .3 seconds and then it’s all ’stop it danny’ and ‘what? i didn’t Do anything’ and ‘you lookin at me’ and ‘fine i won’t look at you’ and then of course i’m all ’stop fighting or you’ll hug for an hour’ - you know i totally ripped that off family guy, i admit it . . .
Kristin and Andy are both amazing people, and both blew me away at their wedding for very different reasons. They married in Midlothian Virginia, a suburb of Richmond, at The Gardens at Sunday Park.
Kristin not only has an amazing sense of style - she knows how to use it! Check out her drool-worthy boquet . . . she made it!

the bridesmaids boquets were also DIY

love the chocolate brown suits with pink roses for the guys!

the boquet came apart by design - 1 section for her to keep, 1 for the toss, 1 for her mother, and 1 for Andy’s mother . . . brilliant!

Andy. Elementary school PE teacher. Dances with his students in class every day. To John Travolta’s ‘Stayin’ Alive’. I’m not sure if the rendition he and his groomsmen performed was by accident or design, but I live for moments like these!

Many more images in the slideshow:
or ‘where’d our blog post go?’
yes. well. about that.
it was innocent, i swear. see, the images on this blog are hosted on flickr and linked here. or were. the vast majority of this blog vanished because i changed the privacy setting on flickr, and realized AFTER all the linked images evaporated that - duh! - changing the privacy setting changes the url of the image. so i unlinked 889 images with one simple mouse click.
oops.
i’ll be rebuilding the blog this summer, but i wanted to state very clearly that - dear clients - it’s not you. it’s me. i still adore each and every one of you, and all the slideshows are still intact - email me if you need the direct link to them (us@mobbsphotography.com).
please forgive me!
and for my mother-in-law, i know these two images don’t replace the hundreds the i brilliantly removed, but it’s a start! {hugs!}
that’s what gary said as he passed his hat across the car to me.
rule number 1 in a household with a dog, a cat, and 2 kids - never, ever, ’smell it’. always a really bad idea.
‘no, it’s ok - just smell it’.
and as i dubiously moved that hat closer to my nose the delightful scent of vanilla lavender filled the air. and noticed a slight squish on the floor under my feet. in our car.
the same squish that, say, the super-extra-large bottle of vanilla lavender laundry detergent might make if it were under the passenger seat. and the lid were a little less than tight. and the entire contents leaked out under the floor mat and into the carpet.
and in that moment i realized with brilliant clarity why the car smelled so good this week.
